Outdoor Handwashing Stations for Schools

School children washing hands at a 6 person outdoor handwashing station.

How do your students wash up?

We got our start during the pandemic building and donating handwashing stations to Tucson schools. What started as a friends and family volunteer effort grew into OutdoorHandwashingStation.com and schools are still a primary focus.

Our 6 person outdoor handwashing station is perfect for washing up at school. You know how long it takes to wash your classroom’s hands one person at a time at a single sink. Washing up as a group is fun and a huge time saver for teachers and administrators.

The most important times for kids to wash up during the school day are simple: after going to the bathroom, when coming inside from recess, and before eating lunch. We can't help your kids wash up in the bathroom, but our multi-person handwashing stations can help you make sure your kids hands are clean after recess and before lunch.

Kids get dirty. You know it, we know it. During recess students are touching the playground equipment, balls, toys, plants, the ground, and one another as they play. We know how important recess is, but we also know that germs spread from hand to hand. One kid wipes their nose, grabs the basketball, shoots it, then another child gets the rebound. One kid sneezes in their hand, climbs the ladder to the slide, and leaves germs on every rung.

We can't keep kids from sharing germs on the playground but we can help them get clean before coming back into your classrooms. By installing one or more of our 6-person outdoor handwashing stations you can rapidly have all your students wash up before coming back in. It just takes a few minutes and the whole class is ready to learn with clean hands.

As an educator, you probably wash your hands before eating lunch at school. Your students should too. Washing up before lunch is as easy as stopping at the outdoor handwashing station (or stations) on your way to the cafeteria. Your students can do a quick wash, then go inside and eat their fill. Your cafeteria staff make sure that plates, trays, and tables are clean and we can help make sure your students hands are, too.

The best part? You’ll be instilling healthy habits that last a lifetime. Once your students get used to the routine, washing up will become second nature.

Our multi-person outdoor handwashing stations are easy to deploy anywhere you have a hose outside. No plumbing is needed. Line up, wash up, then get back to education.

Our stations are perfect for students from preschool through adulthood. They're accessible for wheelchair users and are easy for teachers, aides, and before/after care staff to use.

We are happy to work with your school finance department to provide quotes, net terms, and a W-9. We are an approved vendor for districts in Arizona and are ready and willing to become an approved vendor for your school, too.

Public, charter, and private schools nationwide use our outdoor handwashing stations to keep their kids healthy. We hope you’ll consider one (or more) for your school.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to talk about how outdoor handwashing stations can work for you.
