It all started when…

It all started when the COVID-19 pandemic came to the USA in 2020. I was already working remotely as a software engineer and, as scary as the lockdowns were, having my wife and daughter home during the day was delightful in many ways. We played games, sang songs, made silly videos, and took so many walks through the neighborhood.

Then school reopened, the maintenance department at my wife’s district made handwashing stations for all the elementary schools. I get it, little kids have dirty hands!

I thought it was short sighted to not include the middle and high schools (and, full honesty: I wanted my wife’s middle school to have one) so we started making units to give to them. It was great fun, working with friends in the front yard social distancing as we constructed stations from salvaged materials!

After making and giving away a dozen or so stations I decided to start small scale manufacturing of stations for sale. It’s been a great 4 years since then helping organizations and community groups keep their hands clean.

Welcome to the blog! Can’t wait to see you here again. Go wash your hands!
